- Absolutely NO sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure and up to 1 week after the procedure. Avoid tanning or sun exposure on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate after a few days taking color with it as it fades.
- Do not work-out the day of the procedure as the body heat expands the pores. It is recommended not to sweat (heavily) for the first week after the procedure. Sweat is salty and can prematurely fade the treated area.
- You MUST take a Benadryl 60 mins before your eyeliner procedure. This will reduce any swelling and allow the colour to set into your skin.
- NO EYELASH EXTENSIONS OR FAKE LASHES before your procedure.
- DO NOT Have ANY facial treatments prior to your appointment for one month this includes : BOTOX, LASER, FILLERS, CHEMICAL PEELS, (COSMETIC SURGERIES ETC for 6 weeks prior to your appointment with us). This may result in unnecessary complications for both procedures.
- Avoid alcohol or caffeine prior to the procedure, this will minimize any oozing or swelling after the procedure.
- Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make the treated area hyper-sensitive.
- You have to be off Accutane for 1 year. NO Exceptions!
- If you have oily skin, your results WILL appear softer and may require additional procedures.
- Dark Skin types please note that your permanent makeup will not appear as bold as lighter skin types. (Indian, African American, Filipino, etc.)
- Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
- If you have had any eye surgery, ex: Lasik, Cornea, Upper or Lower Blepharoplasty, lens repair, etc. you will need to wait at least 6 months before permanent makeup on your eyes and a Doctor’s note may be requested. If you have tear duct plugs, I cannot do the liner procedure.
- NO EXCEPTIONS: if using an eyelash growth serum, you must discontinue use 2 weeks prior to the procedure and cannot use for 2 weeks after the procedure.
- IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM MARYAM OF ANY EYE SURGERIES YOU HAVE HAD OR EYE CONDITIONS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE AS THIS WILL DETERMINE IF YOU ARE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LINER.
- If you have hyper-sensitive eyes, watery eyes, tear duct plugs or severe allergies, refractive eye surgery etc., this may not be the procedure for you. Our eyes produce saline-salt water and this will cause the area treated to fade or not take at all.
- Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment, bring your glasses.
- Come with your eyeliner on if you like to show me how you want it otherwise come with no eye makeup on. No mascara.
