Facial-Cupping

What is facial cupping?
The ancient practice of facial cupping uses suction cups directly on skin to promote circulation and relieve muscle tension. The practice even claims to help with sinus congestion and headaches. Facial cupping is meant to increase blood circulation and stimulate the facial cells that are responsible for collagen production. In turn, this can brighten your skin, minimize the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and tone your chin, jawline, and neck by decreasing puffiness.

How should I prepare for facial cupping?
Avoid taking any medication that thins the blood prior to treatment. If you are pregnant, you also shouldn’t get facial cupping.

Is facial cupping painful?
A key difference between body and facial cupping, the cups move continuously with facial cupping, so there’s a much lower incidence of bruising. Body cups, meanwhile, sometimes rest in the same place for 30 minutes or longer, which causes those unsightly spots. You can definitely feel your skin being slightly pulled, but surprisingly, it’s not a bad feeling at all. In fact, it’s quite relaxing.

What’s the aftercare of facial cupping?
Make sure to drink plenty of water to drain out excess toxins, fats, and excess water. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and salty food.
